In this blog you can read my course reflections and ruminations from an unexpected year of mainly Zoom lectures, workshops and self motivated studies. It’s not been quite the experience anybody would have anticipated but it’s been intense and creative.
The Art & Design course covers our personal and professional creative development through:
- Diagnostic Development into Creative Practice
(Stage 1) - Developing Specialist Practice (Stage 2)
- Consolidating Practice in an independent and personal project (Stage 3)

From Stage 2 onwards my specialism is Illustration, which investigates:
- Book and authorial illustration
- Genre study
- Experimental drawing workshops
- Digital practice/Illustrator
- Life drawing ( not possible currently)
- Printmaking (not possible currently -although I attended a couple of printmaking induction workshops between lockdowns)
- Theory and critical thinking
